THE CHOICE OF OUR VOTE DETERMINES THE FUTURE ECONOMY

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC began its registration sometime in April 2017 and currently, the registration has been closed for the 2019 General Elections.

The election process begins with the primary elections, then caucus and moves to nominating conventions, during which political parties each select a nominee to unite behind. However, when we reflect at the primaries conducted so far by different parties, we can attest that, the upcoming election will be solely dependent on the choices we make through our votes.

Some Governorship primary elections has been conducted in some states like Osun, Ekiti, Anambra etc. And we are currently anticipating for other elections yet to be conducted for various positions. The Election is a formal and organized choice by vote of a person for a political office or other position. In order to vote, The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has registered billions of eligible voters in the 6 Geopolitical Zones in Nigeria that would cast their vote in the 2019 General Elections.

It is therefore clear that going into this election, the issues that will agitate the minds of Nigerians, and Business owners most should be centered on the credibility of the candidate of the opposition and the kind of values they will bring into our economy.

As an entrepreneur, we trust that, you are one of the eligible voters registered by INEC and also ready to cast your votes. Voting in elections is the best way to make your “voice” heard. Our choice of leaders from the 2019 General Election will determine the boost of investment and economic output across Nigeria.

In our previous post, we talked about the problems faced by Startups and Entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The growth of the economy in Nigeria affects the growth of our Business. By casting your votes, and rightfully standing for a free and fair Election, remember that, this will either have a positive or negative impact to the stock market and all forms of trades.

The stabilization of the economy and the proper way of bridging the gap of financial backing, basic amenities, infrastructure and other problems is dependent on the choices we make at the upcoming 2019 General Election.

All sectors of leadership in Nigeria is important, and as such we encourage all individuals including the Startups and Entrepreneurs to participate in all forms of the Election, starting from the Local Government Chairman Election, House of Assembly Election, Senatorial Election, Governorships Election, Presidential Election and others.
